For the future…
“We are firmly focused on the future and are working towards the integration of the dynamic information needed by the transportation industry to support even more intelligent routing. For example, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) attributes such as curve and slope will offer even more precision and the addition of new truck-specific POI categories will help the driver both in and out of the cab,” commented Bruno Bourguet, NAVTEQ senior vice president sales EMEA.”
Rollout plans will continue and include a balance of global country count with relevant local coverage. The objective is to support both competitive long-haul business and offer short-haul advantages in the most densely populated areas.
